What better way to explore the beautiful Victoria coastline than a road ride around the waterfront? Take your lunch and stop to eat it on the beach as you make a day of it. 1. Start downtown on Belleville, by the Legislature, and head around to Dallas Road. 2. Go past Clover Point to Foul Bay by way of Hollywood Crescent, along King George Terrace to McNeil Bay, to Beach Drive. Enjoy your ride as you pass Shoal Bay, Oak Bay, and Cadboro Bay. 3. Follow Beach Drive and keep going as it merges with Cadboro Bay Road. 4. Loop around Telegraph Bay Road to Queenswood Drive to join Arbutus Road. Along to Ferndale Road, then onto Ash along Mount Douglas Beach. Join Cordova Bay Road, then onto Fowler. 5. Turn left onto Sayward Road, then left again onto the Pat Bay Highway. Follow it down through Saanich onto Blanshard. 6. Turn right on Hillside, then turn left onto Government. At Johnson, turn right, then left onto Wharf Street. Follow it down and you'll be back where you started, refreshed by sea air and exercise. |
