Whether it’s a city bike with a step-through frame or full-suspension mountain bike, some bikes just may not work well with a car rack that suspends the bike from its top-tube. Rubber straps used to secure bikes to Yakima hitch and strap racks manufactured prior to 2004. Each strap has 5 holes which are 3/4" in diameter. Since 2004 we have used rubber straps called Chain Straps, which each have 8 holes that are 1/2" in diameter.

SKS stands for "Same Key System." These types of cores enable you to lock all your Yakima products with just one key. When replacing a core on your Yakima product, you may need a Control key to remove your existing unlocked core so you can transfer the core to a different Yakima product.
